Arun started learning the Violin at the age of 7. In his formative years, he has studied under some of the best violin teachers in the country including concert violinist Jody McComb (USA) and the late Mr. Assey. Over the years he has studied and worked under some of the best. In 2012 and 2013 he won scholarships to train and perform with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (NYOC). In 2014 he attended the prestigious strings program at Domaine Forget in Quebec - Canada where he studied under famous performers and teachers including David Gillham, Mark Fewer, Denise Lupien, Patrice Fontanarosa, Pascale Giguere to name a few. He studied for many years under the tutelage of Mary Elizabeth Brown who is one of Canada’s accomplished performer and teacher. In 2017, he traveled to Germany and Italy and worked very closely with artists like Fedor Rudin, Shalom Budeer, Felice Cusano and Ilaria Cusano.

Arun holds a Licentiate in Violin performance from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) together with a bachelor’s in engineering. He has won many awards including the Fewkes Memorial Rolling Trophy twice for the highest mark at the Diplomas. With over 17 years of teaching, mentoring and performing experience, Arun is one the most sought-after performer and teacher in India. His students include many prize winners and professionals.

In 2013, together with the NYOC and partners he created the Canada-India Youth Orchestra which was a great success story. He is currently the Director of the newly formed Bangalore City Chamber Orchestra (BCCO) which happens to be the first professional western classical orchestra of Karnataka.

 

TANISHA HERBERT (LLCM, DipLCM, MBA)

Mezzo- soprano, Voice trainer and Choir Director

Tanisha is among the handful of Vocal Trainers in India to have been awarded a Licentiate level Diploma in Music Performance and a Diploma  in Teaching the Principles of Music from The London College of Music, UK. 

She is the Recipient of the first prize at The Neemrana Voice competition - The Godrej Talent of India Award, 2018. She is a seasoned performer and regularly gives solo, choir and Opera concerts throughout India. Her accolades include having being the first ever Indian chosen to participate in the Centre for Opera Studies in Italy and winning the Theme Kawai Rolling Trophy for Best Musician for 2011 and 2012. Her students include several distinction holders , national and international competition winners.

 

She endorses the Western Classical singing technique as it develops one's ability to project the voice without amplification and greatly improves vocal range. This tried and tested healthy technique of vocal training can be applied to any genre of music. Over the past decade having studied under visiting artists and music professors from Sweden, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, India and the United States of America, her repertoire include Opera, Lieder, English folk song, French Art Song and Broadway.

As the Choir Director of the very successful Choir ‘The Bangalore Chamber Singers’, she continues to take voices from strength to strength at the VioVoi Music Academy.

 

 

 

 

THANGADORAI SAMUEL (LTCL)

LIfetime Achievement Awardee of the Calcutta Classical Guitar Society

Senior Guitar Faculty at the VioVoi Music Academy

Thangadurai Samuel is an eminent classical guitarist from India having over 30 decades of experience rich in radio, television, live performances, recordings and teaching the classical guitar. In 2010, he was he first Indian outside West Bengal and the north-eastern States to receive the Lifetime Achievement award by Calcutta Classical Guitar Society. He is the first classical guitarist to complete the practical part of the Trinity College of Music examination from Madras. 

In 1988, he founded the Madras Guitar Society (which became the Madras Guitar String Ensemble in 1991) to bring to light the hidden charms of the classical guitar. Since inception, the Ensemble has staged 21 concerts and recordings have been broadcast over Radio and Television. The Ensemble has co-sponsored performances of renowned soloists and groups such as Christopher Laughlin from the United States of America, the Hans’che Weiss Wnsemble, Hucky Eichelmann, and the Duo Sonare from United Germany.

 

 

 

LARA GUIDO (GRADE 8, ABRSM)

Violin Faculty at the VioVoi Music Academy

Lara Guido is a sensitive violinist with a flair for teaching. She began learning the violin as a young child and grew to play in the Bangalore Chamber Orchestra from 2011-12. In April 2017, Lara performed with the Indian National Youth Orchestra for their 2017 season of the Beethovan 9th's Symphony.  As one of the senior most Violin students at VioVoi under the tutelage of Arun Rozario, she is working towards attaining her Diploma in Violin Performance from the Associated Board of the Royal of Music, UK. She also enjoying singing and is currently employed as a senior manager.

Sonika Khandeparkar(Grade 8, ABRSM)

Piano Faculty at the VioVoi Music Academy

Sonika is a seasoned pianist trained some of the best piano veterans in the city. She has accompanied choirs and instrument players and continues to promote the piano through her teaching. She enjoys collaborating with fellow musicians and is passionate about teaching the piano.

Her students include children and adults who enjoy studying under her tutelage.

 

Rayola Shaiza (B.Mus - Piano Major)

Piano Faculty at the VioVoi Music Academy

An ardent lover and performer of classical music, Rayola Shaiza is a pianist who started learning the piano at a very young age. Promoting quality music education resonates strongly with her and while she explores the field of music therapy with differently abled students. She enjoys working with young children and adults alike.

As a musician, she is most passionate about getting everyone to fall in love with Classical music like she has.

She is a hands-on musician having accompanied several choirs, vocal performances and exams to her credit. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music (Piano Major) from Margaret Shishak School of Music, Nagaland.
